Heal Through Connection

Sometimes the most powerful part of counselling is realizing you're not alone.

Group counselling brings together people who are navigating similar experiences in a safe, professionally facilitated environment. Alongside others who understand, you'll have the opportunity to share, learn, and grow while developing practical skills and meaningful connections.

At Caledonia Counselling, our groups are intentionally kept small to create a welcoming, supportive atmosphere where every participant has the opportunity to be heard.

Why Choose Group Counselling?

Group therapy offers unique benefits that individual counselling cannot always provide. Many people discover that hearing others' experiences helps reduce feelings of shame, isolation, and self-criticism while building confidence and hope.

Group counselling can help you:

Feel less alone in your experiences

Learn practical coping skills

Build healthier relationships and communication

Receive support and encouragement from others

Gain new perspectives and insights

Practice new ways of relating in a safe environment

Develop resilience and confidence

Our Approach

Our groups are facilitated by experienced clinical counsellors who create a respectful, confidential, and inclusive space for everyone involved. We believe that healing happens not only through professional guidance but also through genuine human connection.

Groups combine psychoeducation, discussion, practical exercises, and opportunities for reflection. You will never be pressured to share more than you feel comfortable sharing.

Whether you're attending therapy for the first time or continuing your personal growth journey, you'll be welcomed with warmth, compassion, and respect.

Upcoming Groups

Group offerings change throughout the year based on community need. Current and future groups may include:

  • Base Camp:  A group for neurodivergent youth

  • Family Changes: A group for children who have recently experienced a family separation

  • Grief & Loss

  • Parenting Support

  • Support for Helping Professionals

If you're interested in a group that isn't currently available, we'd love to hear from you. We regularly develop new programs based on the needs of our community.

Is Group Counselling Right for Me?

Group counselling can be an excellent option if you're looking for support, connection, and practical strategies alongside others who understand what you're experiencing.

If you're unsure whether a group is the right fit, we're happy to help. We can discuss your goals and recommend whether group counselling, individual counselling, or a combination of both would best support your needs.
